Slovakia is a small open economy which is denoted by a high dynamics of economic and social processes since its foundation. Migration is of one of areas which in the past years showed revival. Most of the migration studies analyze cases from particular point of view while the complex picture frequently gets underestimated both in historical and international context. It is not possible to interpret the results of quantitative analyses without thorough mapping and understanding of these contexts, nor to design prediction trends thereof. The project will deal with a complex picture of migration to and from the Slovak Republic in time space from its founding as well as its relation to other countries and clusters. The members of team are long-term members of OECD SOPEMI network focused on monitoring and analyzing of migration data and policies within the entire OECD. There ensued an ample statistical and analytical data throughout their tenure which mapped the progress of migration in Slovakia.
