Concise Profile

Ing. Katarina Moravcikova, PhD. is a researcher with the Institute for Forecasting of the Center of Social and Psychological Sciences of Slovak Academy of Sciences. Currently, she is on maternity leave. She obtained Master degree in Statistical Methods in Economics with Economics University of Economics in Bratislava in 2013. She completed her doctoral studies in Spatial Planning with the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava in 2016. Her research focuses on the labour market, active labour market policies, regional disparities in Slovakia, migration patterns in Europe and quantitative methods in the socio-economic research. Her research focuses mainly on the collection, processing, analysis and evaluation of statistical data using advanced statistical programs. She participated in several national and international projects. She is also a lecturer at the Department of Statistics of the Faculty of Economic Informatics of the University of Economics in Bratislava. He leads lectures of Social Statistics, Socio-economic Statistics and exercises of Statistics, Statistical Methods, Economic Statistics and Socio-Economic Statistics.
