The final conference of the international PACES project (Making Migration and Migration Policy Decisions Amidst Societal Transformations) took place in Paris from 4–5 June 2026. Organised by Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, the event brought together researchers from the PACES project, its sister projects ASPIRE and DYNAMIG, as well as other scholars working on migration and migration policy.
Representing the Slovak project team, Lucia Mýtna Kureková,Lucia Kováčová and Jana Papcunová participated in discussions on the factors shaping migration decision-making, the relationship between migration policies and migrants’ lived experiences, and the challenges of migrant integration in times of significant societal change.
The conference provided an opportunity to present project findings, exchange knowledge, and strengthen international cooperation in migration research.
